Terms & Conditions
Quotation & Pricing Policy
All quotations are provided based on information available at the time, including site conditions, measurements, and material availability. Quotes are valid for a limited period and may be subject to change if conditions differ from those originally assessed. Any variations to the agreed scope of work may result in adjusted pricing or timelines.
Deposits & Payments
Once a quotation is accepted and a project is confirmed, a 20% deposit is required prior to scheduling or commencement of work. The deposit secures booking, planning, and allocation of resources.
Where wallpaper or materials are supplied by Sydney Wallpaper Co, full payment for materials is required prior to ordering. Materials will not be ordered until payment is received. This reflects supplier lead times and manufacturer ordering conditions. Remaining balances are payable in accordance with the agreed quotation terms.
Lead Times & Material Availability
Lead times for wallpaper and wall-covering materials vary depending on availability, supplier location, and design complexity. Standard, non-custom wallpaper typically has an estimated lead time of 2–4 weeks from order confirmation.
Custom-designed, made-to-order, or specialty wallpapers—particularly those involving complex artwork, repeating patterns, or bespoke finishes—often require extended lead times. Many materials are sourced from overseas and may be subject to manufacturing schedules, shipping delays, or customs clearance.
All lead times provided are estimates only and are subject to change at any time due to factors beyond our control. Sydney Wallpaper Co is not responsible for delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers, freight providers, or external circumstances.
Consultations & Scheduling
Consultations, installations, and site visits are scheduled in good faith. Reasonable notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Sydney Wallpaper Co reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, including supplier delays, site access issues, or conditions beyond our control.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for ensuring safe, clear, and uninterrupted access to all work areas. This includes the removal of furniture, fixtures, or obstructions where required. Any known site conditions that may affect installation—such as moisture, structural issues, wall defects, or previous finishes—must be disclosed prior to commencement of work.
Variations & Scope Changes
Any changes to the agreed scope of work requested by the client after acceptance of a quotation may result in additional costs or adjusted timelines. All variations will be discussed and agreed upon prior to additional work proceeding.
Site & Environmental Conditions
Sydney Wallpaper Co is not responsible for failures or defects arising from site or environmental conditions, including but not limited to moisture, humidity, temperature fluctuations, ventilation issues, or structural movement. Such conditions may affect the performance and longevity of wall coverings.
Installation & Product Warranty
All installation work is carried out with due care and skill in accordance with industry standards. Sydney Wallpaper Co provides a five-year workmanship warranty covering installation-related defects.
Wallpaper supplied by Sydney Wallpaper Co is covered by a five-year product warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions. This warranty applies to material defects only and does not cover batch variation, environmental conditions, moisture, structural movement, or issues beyond our control. Installation workmanship and product warranties are assessed separately.
Materials Supplied by Client
Where wallpaper or materials are supplied by the client, Sydney Wallpaper Co is not responsible for defects, colour variation, batch inconsistencies, or suitability of those materials. Additional costs may apply if client-supplied materials are insufficient, unsuitable, or result in delays or rework.
Photography & Portfolio Use
Sydney Wallpaper Co may photograph completed work for portfolio, promotional, and marketing purposes unless the client advises otherwise in writing prior to commencement of work.
Client Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Clients are entitled to consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees include that services will be provided with due care and skill, within a reasonable time, and that goods supplied will be of acceptable quality and fit for purpose. Nothing in these policies is intended to exclude or limit these rights.
Liability & Australian Consumer Law (NSW)
All services are provided in accordance with applicable New South Wales regulations and industry standards. Nothing in these policies is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, Sydney Wallpaper Co’s liability is limited to the rectification of defective workmanship and does not extend to indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
